Program Overview at Grand View College
The Intensive English Program at Grand View College is structured into three progressive levels, designed to help students enhance their English proficiency to achieve academic and professional goals. Each level spans 16 weeks, and students must pass an end-of-term test to advance. Failure to pass allows for a possible repeat of the level with teacher approval. The program's primary aim is to develop students' abilities in reading, writing, listening, and speaking through skill-based instruction, tailored to each level of learning.
Beginning Level
At the Beginning Level, students are introduced to the English language. The focus is on gaining practical language skills through interactive social and academic activities.
- Integrative Grammar Class: Learners understand and use basic grammatical forms to craft simple statements and questions.
- Reading and Writing Class: Students identify main ideas and details, begin making inferences, and learn to construct sentences with proper mechanics.

Intermediate Level
